A Flex/Adobe AIR TV-guide enabled media center

The multiplateform runtime Adobe Air 2.0 introduced the NativeInterface API. Enabling the launch of natives processes like running VLC to show or record a TV stream.

I developed an app that sources the TV program guide for comming week. You can navigate into the program guide to get details about each program.

You can directly launch the current stream corresponding to selected channel.

Or you can mark any program to be recorded...

With your Remote Control well configured, you have from your couch, a full TV-guide enabled media center. A true multi-platform and libre/open-source competition to Windows Media Center.

Checkout the code from github.com/scoutant/tv-rec-play.
